Earn Rewards Points and enjoy deferred payment When the remaining value of your Octopus is insufficient, your Citibank Credit Card account will automatically reload HK$2502 to your Octopus, allowing you to earn Rewards Points and redeem your favorite rewards items faster. All Octopus automatic add value transactions will also be listed clearly on your credit card monthly statement and you can also enjoy an interest-free payment period until the statement due date.

First-time applicants of the Automatic Add Value Service will enjoy HK$20 fee waiver. Applicants switching banks or restarting Automatic Add Value Service are required to pay Octopus Card Limited a HK$20 non-refundable service charge, which will be charged to the designated credit card account. For application of Personalised Octopus, a fee of HK$100 (includes HK$50 deposit, HK$30 initial stored value and HK$20 administrative fee) will be charged.

The remaining value on the card is zero or negative balance, or when the remaining value plus the maximum negative value is insufficient to settle the full cost of transaction. Each Octopus can only be automatically reloaded with HK$250 once a day.
