  • Applicable to handling fees incurred by Citibank (HK) Ltd only. For incoming fund transfers from overseas Citibank branches, please refer to each originating country's fees and charges.
  • This service is only applicable to clients of Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited. Transaction screening may apply, this may lead to the delay of the transaction.
  • If the transaction involves currency conversion, the "Citibank Global Transfer" transaction page in "Citibank Online" will display the exchange rate on such currency conversion to get client‘s confirmation. Clients should understand that for certain currencies, they can choose to complete the foreign exchange before transfer whereby the applicable exchange rate may be different from or lower than the rate display in the "Citibank Global Transfer" transaction page. If clients need more details on the reference exchange rate, they can call 24-hour CitiPhone Banking at 2860 0333.
  • Outward remittance is applicable through Savings, Checking and Currency Manager Accounts for all currencies except RMB, while inward remittance is applicable through Savings and Checking Accounts for currencies including HKD and USD.
    • CGT transfers and client's third party fund transfers to other overseas bank account via Citibank Online and Mobile, including telegraphic transfers, will share the same daily transfer limit.
    • The daily transfer limit is HK$1,000,000 and is subject to the client’s available account balance. To reduce the limit, please fill in and submit the relevant form (available here). To increase the limit (HK$1,000,000 at maximum), please visit our branches for assistance.
    • The maximum outward remittance limit per transaction via Citibank Online and Mobile in Hong Kong is US$99,999 (approximately HK$780,000). Some countries may impose an incoming fund limit. Please contact our 24-hour CitiPhone hotline (852) 2860 0333 for more details.
    • The incoming CGT fund limit per transaction in Hong Kong is US$99,999. Please note that some home country or region may set an outward remittance limit.
  • Inbound only (only accept funds from other CGT originating countries and regions).
  • Effective February 1, 2016, Citi India will no longer allow incoming CGT transactions into domestic accounts. Incoming CGT transactions will only be allowed into NRE (Non-Resident External) and NRO (Non-Resident Ordinary) rupee checking accounts.

# Citibank Global Transfer to and from Australia has been discontinued since April 24, 2022. From June 26, 2022, you can no longer transfer funds between Citi accounts of these destinations through Citibank Global Transfer: Bahrain, Mainland China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Thailand and Vietnam.
