What is Citi PayAll?
Citi PayAll is a credit card service that is available via Citi Mobile® App allowing you pay
your daily expenses with your Citi Credit Card and earn basic Credit Card points / rebate. You can go to
Citi PayAll page by selecting “Payments” after logging in to Citi Mobile App.
Which cards can I use?
You can use all Citi credit cards for Citi PayAll (including principal and supplementary cards, but
except Citi Rewards UnionPay Card). Please note you are required to activate your card in order to set up
a payment successfully.
What are the benefits of using Citi PayAll?
You can earn reward points / cash back by using your Citi credit cards to settle daily expenses. It also
allows you to maximize cash flow for other necessities.
How long does it take to process a payment?
For instant Payment, your credit card will be charged on the same day as payment setup date. For
non-instant Payment, it takes 4 business days (Monday to Friday, except Hong Kong Public Holidays) to
process a payment, your recipient will receive the payment by the end of the 4th business day.
Is there a fee for Citi PayAll?
Yes, service fee will be charged for each Citi PayAll new setup. The fee will be reflected on “Review &
Confirm” page upon payment setup, and it applies to the recurred payments thereafter under the same setup.
Or you can select not to pay service fee, the corresponding payment will not be entitled to any points /
rebate, and subject to Payment categories, eligibility criteria and/or limits set by Citibank. Citibank
reserves the right to modify or restrict this feature at any time, at its sole discretion.
Which payment categories are for merchant bill payment?
There’re 18 payment categories currently available in Citi PayAll and are categorized into “Pay to
Designated Payees” and “Pay to Designated Merchants”.

Is there a cap to the amount I can transact?
The payment is limited to the credit limit of your credit card, and the prepaid amount over the credit
limit or temporary credit limit will not be considered as eligible, unless we explicitly specify
otherwise.
For payments under “Pay to Designated Payees”, there is a monthly cap of HK$150,000 (based
on payment due date) and a maximum of 10 Citi PayAll transactions within a month across all categories.
Please note that you are only allowed to make a maximum of 2 Citi PayAll transactions to the same
beneficiary (based on payee account number) within one month. And each purpose of payment is subject to a
cap as per below table:

For payments under “Pay to Designated Merchants”, there’s no monthly cap but subject to the credit limit
of your credit card, which includes temporary credit limit.
Can I amend or cancel my transaction after I have scheduled it?
Unfortunately, you cannot amend your transaction once it has been set up. For instant Payment, you cannot
cancel your transaction once confirmed. For future dated payments, should you wish to cancel the
transaction, please log in to your Citi Mobile® App. You can review and cancel your existing
payment instructions by selecting the Citi PayAll option under "Payments" tab. Please note that you may
only cancel a transaction no less than 3 Business days before the payment due date.
I can’t reset my payment after cancelling it, why?
It takes time for system update, please try again on the next day.
Can I reinitiate my completed / cancelled payments?
Yes, you may check the corresponding payments under “Completed” or “Cancelled” tab and click “Reinitiate
this payment”. Then you may reinitiate the payment to designated payee / merchant.
What happens to my scheduled payments if I have lost my card?
If you have lost your card, your scheduled payments will be cancelled. Please activate your new card
promptly and schedule a new payment through Citi Mobile App.
How do I know if my payment is set up successfully?
You will receive an email and/or SMS notification alert when the payment is set up and when the payment
is successfully charged to your card.
If you have made a recurring payment, you will also receive a
notification alert every month when the transaction is charged to your card.
What if my payment is rejected?
If your payment fails to go through, we will notify you via an email and/or SMS notification alert. Your
original payment will be refunded to your credit card on the next business day. Please note if your
payment is rejected by third parties other than Citibank Hong Kong, the deducted PayAll monthly payment
limit will not be restored until next month. Please make sure your input information is correct and
accurate.
When will the payee / merchant receive payment?
Please ensure accuracy and completeness in your payment instructions. If the account information is
correct, your payee / merchant will receive the payment on or before the payment due date.
Do note that
if your payment is made on public holidays, payment may be delayed to the next business day. It is
recommended that you set up your payment due date early to avoid any late payment.
Is there any restriction with Citi PayAll Transactions?
You are not allowed to make Payments in respect of (i) any loan/debt repayments such as mortgage
repayments, credit card payments and loans, (ii) any cryptocurrency related transactions. You’re also not
allowed to send money to own accounts or to recipients who have not provided you any goods or services. In
case of any breach of Citi PayAll Service Terms and Conditions or any abuse of Citi PayAll service, we
will terminate your Citi PayAll payments without prior notice.
Also, we may terminate your payment
without prior notice if we find any suspicious activities such as setting up consecutive payments on
occasional categories like Wedding Expenses, Renovation Fees, Event Expenses and Travel Related Fee.
Please keep all of your respective merchant payment invoice for record. In case of dispute, we may at any
time ask you to submit these records, and/or further evidence for inspection and we may keep them.
