  1. General Terms & Conditions

    1. Unless otherwise specified, Citibank Rewards Program is only applicable to the holders ("Cardholders/Cardmembers") of the following primary and supplementary cards ("Eligible Cards"): (a) Citibank Classic Card, Citibank Gold Card, Citibank Rewards Card, Citibank Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card, Citibank PremierMiles Card, Citibank AXA Credit Card, Citibank I.T VISA Card and Citibank Business Card (applicable to authorized officer only for central billing account; both authorized officer and the supplementary cardholders for individual billing account) issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") AND (b) Diners Club Personal Card (HK Dollar/US Dollar), Diners Club Business Card and Diners Club Corporate Card with individual billing issued by Diners Club International (HK) Limited ("Diners"). Holders of Citi Clear Card, Octopus Citibank Credit Card, Shell Citibank Platinum Card, Shell Personal Card, Citibank Cash Back American Express® Card, Diners Club Corporate Card with central billing are not eligible to participate in the Citibank Rewards Program.
    2. To redeem the rewards items (including but not limited to offers, gifts, coupons, products, services. etc) ("Rewards Items"), the Eligible Card accounts must be valid (i.e. not cancelled or terminated) and current (i.e. no past due balances).
    3. Redemption orders will be cancelled automatically in the event of insufficient Points. Redemptions cannot be amended, cancelled or revoked upon the acceptance by Citibank/Diners.
    4. Coupons will be sent to the Cardholder's/Cardmember's mailing address registered in Citibank/Diners within 2-3 weeks upon redemption (P.O. box and overseas address are not accepted).
    5. The use of the Rewards Items is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the respective merchants.
    6. Certain Rewards Items are applicable to selective card types only.
    7. Unless otherwise specified, the Rewards Items cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers or interest free installment plans of the respective merchants.
    8. Photos, features and reference retail prices are for reference only. Citibank/Diners makes no representation or warranty on the quality or ownership of intellectual or industrial property rights subsisting in the Rewards Items.
    9. Rewards Items are not exchangeable for cash, are not replaceable or compensated in cash in the event of destruction or loss, and are subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the respective merchants of the same.
    10. Citibank/Diners does not act as the supplier of any Rewards Items listed. Its role is only to place the order for and on Cardholder's/Cardmember's behalf and to process settlement through the Eligible Card account.
    11. Citibank/Diners shall not be responsible for any matters in relation to the Rewards Items. The respective merchants are solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities relating to such products or services and all auxiliary services.
    12. Citibank/Diners may receive fees from the suppliers of the Rewards Items, Citibank/Diners will not be responsible for any damage or loss incurred by Cardholders/Cardmembers arising out of the purchase, supply, or use of the Rewards Items or of any negligence, breach of statutory or other duty on the part of Citibank/Diners.
    13. Redemption is subject to the availability of Reward Items, account status checking and final acceptance by Citibank/Diners and the respective merchants as their absolute discretion.
    14. Fraud and abuse will result in forfeiture of a Cardholder's/Cardmember's eligibility to participate in the Citibank Rewards Program. Citibank/Diners further reserves the right to charge the equivalent value of any Rewards Items redeemed directly from the Eligible Card account without prior notice.
    15. Citibank/Diners is entitled at any time and without any prior notice or liability in any manner whatsoever to terminate Citibank Rewards Program; cancel or vary its benefits or features; vary, add to or delete any of these terms and conditions; withdraw or change the participants of Citibank Rewards Program; modify or limit the value of Points and/or the manner of their redemptions even though any of such acts may diminish the value of the Points already accumulated.
    16. Citibank Rewards Program is valid until it is replaced by a new program or until such time as may be determined by Citibank/Diners without prior notice. All Rewards Items redeemed cannot be returned. Citibank/Diners or the respective merchants may make similar substitution without advance notice when necessary. Rewards Items selections are void where prohibited by law.
    17. Terms and Conditions apply to Rewards Items under "Protection Free". For details, please refer the relevant promotional materials.
    18. Every effort has been made to ensure that all the information related to Citibank Rewards Program which may be available from time to time is accurate. Citibank/Diners is not responsible for any errors or omission.
    19. Citibank/Diners and the respective merchants reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
    20. All matters and disputes will be subject to the final decision of Citibank/Diners.
    21. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
  2. Points Accumulations and Redemption

    1. During the continuation of Citibank Rewards Program, Cardholders/Cardmembers will earn Points for valid transactions posted to the Eligible Card account. Cardmembers of Diners Club Personal Card (HK Dollar/US Dollar) will be awarded 2 Points per HK$1(or equivalent foreign currency) charged. Cardmembers of Diners Club Business Card or Diners Club Corporate Card will be awarded 1.5 Points per HK$1(or equivalent foreign currency) charged. Cardholders of Citibank Rewards UnionPay Card will be awarded 1 Point per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) charged in the HKD account or CNY1 charged in the CNY account. Cardholders of Citibank Ultima Card will be awarded 3 Points per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) for both local and overseas transactions posted. Cardholders of Citi Prestige Card will be awarded 2 Points per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) local transaction posted and 3 Points per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) overseas transaction posted. Cardholders of Citibank PremierMiles Card will be awarded 1.5 Points per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) local transaction posted and 3 Points per HK$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) overseas transaction posted. Overseas transaction is defined as transactions settled in currencies except Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi or Macau Patacas (including internet transactions), i.e. no conversion from a foreign currency into Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi or Macau Patacas is involved at the point of the transaction and the transaction currency as shown on the sales draft (if applicable) is not in Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi or Macau Patacas. Cardholders of other Eligible Cards will be awarded 1 Point per HK$1(or equivalent foreign currency) charged. Citibank/Diners reserve the right to change at any time and without prior notice the ratio between (a) Point(s) to be awarded; and (b) the specified amount charged to the Eligible Card account.
    2. For Citibank Business Card with individual billing, the Points are accumulated under each Cardholder's Citibank Business Card account. For Citibank Business Card with central billing, the Points earned by the authorized officer and supplementary Cardholders are accumulated under the authorized officer's Citibank Business Card Account.
    3. For Citibank Rewards UnionPay Card, all Points are accumulated under the HKD Account.
    4. Unless otherwise specified, all Points earned by the principal and supplementary Cardholders/Cardmembers of the same Eligible Card will be accumulated under the principal Cardholder's/Cardmember's account.
    5. Unless otherwise specified, only principal Cardholders/Cardmembers are eligible for Points redemption.
    6. Invalid transactions not eligible for Points include, but are not limited to, cash advances, fees and charges, withdrawal amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program and Dial a Check Installment Program, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, casino transactions, online bill payment, dynamic currency conversion transactions, or unposted /cancelled /refunded transactions.
    7. For Citibank Credit Card accounts denominated in CNY, invalid transactions incurred in Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) not eligible for Points include, but are not limited to, properties, automobile, wholesales, air tickets, fuel, supermarkets, hospitals and schools, and other charges designated by Citibank / Diners from time to time.
    8. Citibank/Diners may add to, or remove from, the list of invalid transactions as stated in Clauses 27 and 28 above from time to time at its discretion. The decision of Citibank/Diners as to what constitutes an invalid transaction shall be final and conclusive.
    9. Points earned on Citibank Rewards Card, Citibank Business Card, Citibank Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card, Citibank PremierMiles Card, Citibank I.T VISA Card, Diners Club Personal Card (HK Dollar/US Dollar), Diners Club Business Card, Diners Club Corporate Card with individual billing are evergreen. Points earned on ALL other Eligible Card types will be valid for at least one year and up to two years. The annual expiry date for Points earned on an Eligible Card shall be the statement date of the month shown as the expiry month (regardless of the year) on such Eligible Card. The applicable expiry date(s) for Points will be shown in the Cardholder's/Cardmember's monthly statement.
    10. Should any transaction in the monthly statement be cancelled or refunded for whatever reason, the Points earned in respect to those transactions will be deducted or cancelled.
    11. Points awarded will be shown in each monthly statement, and be redeemable in such manner as set out in the Citibank Rewards Program Terms and Conditions for Rewards Items. Only Points accumulated up to and shown in the latest issued monthly statement or such other date as may be determined by Citibank/Diners at its discretion will be redeemable. Points redeemed will be shown in the next monthly statement.
    12. Points are not transferable to others but may be pooled upon request by the time of rewards redemption between credit cards under the same cardholder / cardmember. Points can only be pooled between cards within the following groups. Pooling of Points between Citibank Credit Cards and Diners Club Cards are not permitted. Group 1: Citibank Classic Card, Citibank Gold Card and Citibank Rewards Card; Group 2: Citibank Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card and Citibank PremierMiles Card; Group 3: Diners Club Card (except Diners Club Corporate Card with central billing).
    13. Points will be forfeited when the relevant Eligible Card account is closed, is not in good standing in the opinion of Citibank/Diners, has expired or ceased to be effective or a breach of the relevant Citibank Credit Card / Citibank Private Label Card / Diners Club Card Agreement has occurred. Any outstanding redemption order whether received before or after Points have been forfeited shall not be entertained.
  3. Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program

    1. Principal Cardholders must convert to a minimum of 500 miles/hotel points for Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club, Etihad Guest, Eva Air Infinity Mileagelands, Garuda Frequent Flyer, KrisFlyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Hilton HHonors and IHG Rewards Club, 1,500 miles for SkyMiles and 2,000 miles for Royal Orchid Plus each time a conversion is made; thereafter conversion must be in the multiple of 500 miles/hotel points.
    2. Cardholders/Cardmembers must already be members of the frequent flyer programs and the hotel privilege programs of the participants in order to participate in the Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program.
    3. Cardholders of Citibank AXA Credit Card and Citibank I.T VISA Card are not eligible to participate in the Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program.
    4. British Airways Executive Club, Etihad Guest, Eva Air Infinity Mileagelands, Garuda Frequent Flyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich and Hilton HHonors are only applicable to Citibank Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card and Citibank PremierMiles Card.
    5. British Airways Executive Club, Etihad Guest, Eva Air Infinity Mileagelands, Garuda Frequent Flyer, KrisFlyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Royal Orchid Plus, Hilton HHonors and IHG Rewards Club are not applicable to Diners Club Card.
    6. Cardholders/Cardmembers are subject to the terms and conditions of the frequent flyer programs and the hotel privilege programs of the participants. Participants may change the program rules including regulations, policies, benefits, conditions of participation or mileage levels (if applicable), in whole or in part at any time with or without notice, even though changes may affect the value of the free mileage already accumulated (if applicable).
    7. Points redeemed for Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club, Eva Air Infinity Mileagelands, Garuda Frequent Flyer, KrisFlyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Hilton HHonors and IHG Rewards Club miles/ hotel points will be credited to the Cardholders'/Cardmembers' own Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program accounts within 4 working days upon redemption, while miles of other Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program will be credited to the Cardholders'/Cardmembers' own frequent flyer program accounts within 8 working days upon redemption.
    8. Points converted under the Frequent Flyer and Hotel Privileges Program cannot be credited back to the Eligible Card accounts.
    9. A handling fee of HK$50 will be charged for every 5,000 miles/ hotel points redeemed per transaction through Asia Miles, KrisFlyer, Royal Orchid Plus, SkyMiles and IHG Rewards Club. If the redemption is less than 5,000 miles, or not in multiples of 5,000 miles/ hotel points, a handling fee will still be charged in multiples of HK$50. The minimum charge per redemption is HK$50 and the maximum charge is HK$300. The handling fee does not apply to Citibank Ultima Card, Citibank Business Card, Citi Prestige Card and Citibank PremierMiles Card.
  4. Instant Citibank Rewards

    1. Unless otherwise specified, Cardholders/Cardmembers of Citibank Renminbi Credit Card, Citibank Business Card, Diners Club Personal Card (US Dollar), Diners Club Business Card, Diners Club Corporate Card are not eligible for Instant Citibank Rewards. Citibank Rewards UnionPay Card, Citibank PremierMiles Card and Diners Club Personal Card (HK Dollar) are eligible for Instant Citibank Rewards at designated participating merchants only and are not eligible for online redemptions of Instant Citibank Rewards, please visit the homepage of Instant Citibank Rewards for details. Cardholders/Cardmembers need to sign for acknowledgement upon successful redemption.
    2. Instant Citibank Rewards are only applicable to participating merchants in Hong Kong only.
    3. Points will be instantly deducted from the Eligible Card accounts. No cancellation or refund is allowed.
    4. For the redemption of movie tickets, the eligible movies are subject to the final decision of the respective cinemas. Surcharges may apply. For details, please refer to the announcement of the respective cinemas.
