Terms and Conditions
  1. Unless specified, the promotion period is valid from Jun 1, 2022 to Jun 30, 2022 both days inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
  2. Customers (“Eligible Cardholders”) must submit the application form and successfully apply for a principal card of the selected credit card (“Eligible Card”) issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) during the Promotion Period.
  3. Unless otherwise specified, the Welcome Offers are not applicable to customers who currently hold, have cancelled or have held any principal card of Citi Credit Card within the past 12 months from the month of application for the Eligible Card ("New Customer"). (Except for applicants of Citi Prestige Card)
  4. Each Eligible Cardholder is entitled to one welcome offer only. Those applicants who have applied for 2 cards, of which one of the cards is a Citi Prestige Card, are entitled to two welcome offers (Not applicable to online applications.). All Welcome Offers are entitled for the first card that fulfills the spending condition in case of Customers (“Eligible Cardholders”) applies multiple cards.
  5. Citi Prestige Card Welcome Offer will be made to the customer after the first year annual fee has been billed. The annual fee can neither be waived nor reversed under any circumstances.
  6. Unless specified, New Customers who are full time students of degree / diploma program of a Hong Kong Tertiary Institution will only be entitled to designated welcome offer for student.

    iTerms & Conditions for “Earn up to HK$1,000 cash rebate”:

    1. The promotion period is valid from March 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”).
    2. Customers (“Eligible Cardholders”) must successfully apply for a principal card of the selected credit card issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) during the Promotion Period and have the selected credit card successfully approved (“Eligible Card”) by July 31, 2022.
    3. The promotion is only applicable to customers who currently do not hold, have not cancelled or have not held any principal card of Citi Credit Card within the past 12 months from the month of application for the Eligible Card ("New Customer").
    4. Each Eligible Cardholder is entitled to “Earn up to HK$1,000 cash rebate” offer once only.
    5. Eligible Cardholders will be entitled to 100% Cash Rebate (“Rebate”) on the finance charges for Retail Transactions and Cash Advance Transactions that posted to the first two (2) monthly statements from the date of card issuance.
    6. Cardholders who have their respective Credit Card(s) replaced, renewed (Inclusive of renewed Visa Card to a Mastercard), report lost / stolen, all the Retail and Cash Advance Transactions made on the corresponding newly issued Eligible Credit Card due to the scenarios mentioned above will be automatically considered in the eligibility of the promotion.
    7. Eligible Cardholders are subject to a maximum Rebate of HK$1,000 throughout the Promotion Period.
    8. The Rebate will be rounded up to the nearest Hong Kong dollar.
    9. Each Cash Advance Transaction is subject to a cash advance fee of 4% of the cash advance amount for Citi Eligible Cards (minimum of HK$100/CNY100/US$13). For the finance charge and annualized percentage rate, please refer to Citi Credit Card / Diners Club Card Key Facts Statement And Fees Schedule.
    10. Citibank will determine the eligibility of Eligible Cardholders to participate in this promotion as well as the transactions based on Citibank’s record, and at the sole and absolute discretion of Citibank. If relevant Retail and Cash Advance Transactions made with the Eligible Card are verified by Citibank as Eligible Transactions for the Rebate, the Rebate will be credited to the Eligible Card account on or before October 31, 2022.
    11. Rebate can be used for future credit purchases only and cannot be used to settle any previous outstanding balance. It cannot be converted into cash or other gifts and is not transferable.
    12. Eligible Cardholders must keep and submit the relevant original credit card sales slips and original merchant sales receipts in respect of the Eligible Retail Transactions for inspection upon request by Citibank. All documents submitted to Citibank will not be returned.
    13. Eligible Cardholders’ Eligible Card account must be valid and with good credit record during the Promotion Period and the fulfillment period in order to be eligible to receive any Rebate otherwise Citibank reserves the right to forfeit the Rebate without prior notice.
    14. In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal or cancellation of transactions in respect of which the Rebate were awarded, Citibank reserves the right to debit from the Eligible Cardholder’s Card account the equivalent amount of the Rebate without prior notice.
    15. Citibank reserves the right to amend the terms & conditions without prior notice, while all matters and disputes are subject to the final decision of Citibank.
    16. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms & conditions, the English version shall prevail.

    The welcome offer of Citi HKTVmall Card: Eligible Cardholders will be entitled to 10% cash rebate on Citi HKTVmall Card Payment Channel Transaction made within the first 12 phases from the month of instant credit approval or physical card issuance (whichever is earlier), subject to a cap of HK$100 per phase, Cardholders must have their physical credit card successfully approved and the cash rebate is only eligible for Citi HKTVmall Card Payment Channel Transaction. “Citi HKTVmall Card Payment Channel Transaction" refers to eligible transactions made with an Eligible Card via the designated “Citi HKTVmall Card Payment Channel” in HKTVmall platform. “Citi HKTVmall Card Payment Channel” refers to the non-card association payment channel between Citibank and Hong Kong TV Shopping Network Company Limited (“HKTVmall”).

    New Customer will be eligible for 5,000 Clubpoints upon accumulated spending of HK$8,000 or above within the first 3 months after the date the Eligible Card is issued provided that the Eligible Card is applied during the Promotion Period. The values of Clubpoints referred to above are calculated based on Clubpoint Conversion Ratio appearing on the “Spend Less with Clubpoint” function on the Club Shopping Platform and redemption of HKT and Club Shopping e-Cash Voucher, which is currently 5 Clubpoints = HK$1, 5,000 Clubpoints is equivalent to HK$1,000 value, as of the date of these Terms and Conditions. The relevant redemption rate is subject to changes from time to time without prior notice.
  2. All posted transactions and monthly installments of billed Merchant Installment Plan conducted by principal and supplementary card(s), if applicable, are included in the Spending Conditions calculation. Ineligible transactions, including but not limited to, transactions through Faster Payment System (FPS) services, traveler's checks, cash advances, withdrawal amount/loan amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program, “FlexiBill” Installment Program and “PayLite” Installment Program and Quick Cash Installment Program, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, online bill payment or utilities bill / insurance transactions made with Eligible Card via internet banking or online payment system, all payments made using “Citi PayAll Service”, mutual funds payment, fees & charges, casino transactions, unposted/cancelled/refunded transactions, other unauthorized transactions and fraud and abuse transactions.

  • (a) Points: Citi Prestige Cardholders, points will be credited to the eligible Principal Cardholder’s account two (2) months after the first year annual fee has been fully paid. Citi Rewards Card Cardholders, points will be credited into the relevant Eligible Card accounts within 5 months upon the month of meeting the relevant spending conditions. Citi PremierMiles Card Cardholders, points will be credited into the relevant Eligible Card accounts within 5 months upon the month of meeting the relevant spending conditions. (Citi Prestige Cardholders and Citi PremierMiles Cardholders can choose to convert their Points to miles with and of the following Mileage Programs: Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club, Etihad Guest, EVA Air Infinity MileageLands, Flying Blue, Garuda Indonesia Frequent Flyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus or Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, The exchange is subject to the conversion rate of the chosen Mileage Program.   • (b) Cash Rebate (inapplicable to Citi HKTVmall and Citi Citi Plus Card): will be credited to Eligible Cardholders’ card account within 5 months upon the month of meeting the reward conditions/spending conditions.
  • (c) Cash Rebate (applicable to Citi HKTVmall and Citi Citi Plus Card): Cash rebate will be credited to Eligible Cardholders’ card account within 4 calendar months upon the phase of meeting the reward conditions/spending conditions. The cash rebate will be rounded up to the nearest cent (if applicable).
  • (d) Wellcome Supermarket and Lifestyle Supermarkets Shopping Voucher will be mailed to Eligible Cardholders’ correspondence address within 5 months upon the month of meeting the relevant spending conditions. Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions will be on the back of the Gift Voucher.
  • (e) Clubpoints will be credited to Eligible Cardholders’ The Club membership account within 5 months upon the month of meeting the relevant spending conditions. Redemption of Clubpoints and all matters relating to The Club Membership Program are subject to the Terms & Conditions of The Club Membership Program which may be amended by Club HKT Limited from time to time.   1. If Eligible Cardholders select more than one welcome offer on the application form, Citibank reserves the right to provide only one of the welcome offers at its sole discretion.
  2. If Eligible Cardholders are entitled to receive any other promotional offers under other promotions, Citibank reserves the right to provide only one of the promotional offers at its sole discretion.
  3. Welcome offers cannot be changed once indicated on the application form, nor transferred to another person, cancelled, reversed nor exchanged for cash.
  4. Eligible Cardholders’ Eligible Card accounts must be valid and in good standing during the entire Promotion Period and fulfillment period in order to enjoy the welcome offers.
  5. In case of any fraud/abuse/reversal or cancellation of transactions included in the calculation of the spending conditions, Citibank reserves the right to debit from the Eligible Cardholders’ credit card accounts the equivalent amount of the welcome offers awarded under this promotion without prior notice.
  6. All welcome offers are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stocks last. Citibank reserves the right to grant an alternative offer in case of shortage.

       Eligible Cardholders submit valid income/asset proof within the first 3 months from the date of card issuance/ instant credit approval or

       Eligible Cardholders also open a Citibank Payroll Account and have payroll deposit in their Citibank Payroll Account through autopay/standing instruction/check deposit within the first 3 months from the date of card issuance.

  • (b) For a Principal Card Applicant who is not a Permanent Hong Kong Resident, please also provide: Valid passport showing the name, passport number and nationality of the Principal Card Applicant AND an employment contract showing employment period.
  • (c) For Principal Card applicants with a Former Name, please also provide relevant documentary proof, such as certificate of registered particulars or tax return.
  • (d) For Student Credit Card applicants, please enclose front and back copies of Student Identity Card.
  • (e) The Bank may request that the Principal Card Applicant provides additional identification documents for identity verification purpose when deemed necessary, including but not limited to passport or Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents (Home Return Permit).
  • (f) Additional documents may be required to facilitate credit processing.
