You can now chat with your Relationship Manager on WhatsApp^. Simply sign on to Citi Mobile® App and complete the registration, then you can send messages to your dedicated Relationship Manager via WhatsApp, making it easier to connect with your Relationship Manager.

^The function is currently available only to selected customers.

  • Sign on to your Citi Mobile® App
  • At the bottom right corner, tap the "Help" button
  • Tap "Connect now" under "Talk to us on WhatsApp"
  • Check the registered mobile phone number, which will connect you with your relationship manager in WhatsApp, read the important disclosure and terms and conditions. Then tap "Connect"
  • You will receive notification of successful registration via Citi Mobile® App, SMS and email
  • Then you may switch to the WhatsApp where you will see a welcome message from Citibank HK. Now, you may start sending messages to your Relationship Manager

  • Sign on to your Citi Mobile® App
  • At the bottom right corner, tap the "Help" button
  • Tap "Edit Preference" and then turn off "Connect to WhatsApp"
  • Tap "Disconnect" and you will receive notification of successful cancellation via SMS and email
  • You will also receive a message about cancellation from Citibank HK in WhatsApp. You can still check the message records under Citibank HK in WhatsApp, but it will be disconnected from your Relationship Manager unless you re-register in Citi Mobile® App again

About Citi WhatsApp Messaging

This is a platform allowing you to connect easily to your dedicated Relationship Manager via WhatsApp.

This is an exclusive platform for Citigold® Private Client and Citigold® client. And currently it is available only to selected customers.

You would be connected to your dedicated Relationship Manager.

Our business hours are Mon-Fri: 9:30am-6:00pm; Saturday: 9:30am-12:00noon. If you send messages after office hours, your Relationship Manager will receive them and follow-up on the next business day.

No. Citi WhatsApp Messaging only supports text messaging. If you send something which is not supported, there would be an error message in WhatsApp and your Relationship Manger cannot receive it. If you want to conduct video/audio conversation, you may use Citi Live Chat in Citi Mobile® App.

You can register for this service via the latest version of Citi Mobile® App.

If your Relationship Manager is busy or away, he / she will see your message when available and then follow-up with you.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, PRIVACY AND SECURITY

First, you need to be an existing WhatsApp user and, after registering in Citi Mobile® App, you can connect to your Relationship Manager via the WhatsApp application in your phone.

It is designed for general enquiries only. Please do not to disclose personal information when using WhatsApp Messaging. For a conversation that involves any sensitive information, please use Citi Live Chat in Citi Mobile® App.

All conversations will be recorded for quality monitoring, training and surveillance purposes only.

For security reasons, the phone number connected will be the one you registered for Citi’s records. Please update your mobile phone record if necessary.

The WhatsApp account under this service is an official WhatsApp business verified account. To verify it is authentic, you can see the green badge displayed next to Citibank Hong Kong. Also, there is only 1 phone number for our Official WhatsApp business account -"+852 5704 0954".

Note: The image is for reference only

  • Citi WhatsApp Messaging only supports text messaging. If you send something which is not supported, there will be an error message in WhatsApp and your Relationship Manager will not be able to receive it.
  • Citi WhatsApp Messaging does not support Group Chat.
  • Citi WhatsApp Messaging is designed for general enquiries only. Please do not to disclose personal information when using WhatsApp Messaging.
  • Your Relationship Manager can only process Citi WhatsApp Messaging messages during office hours (Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm).
