"Pay with Points – Merchants' Online Platforms Service" Terms and Conditions

  1. Unless otherwise specified, the Pay with Points on Merchants’ Online Platforms Service (the “Service”) applies to Principal Cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card, Citi Plus® Credit Card, Citi PremierMiles Card, Citi Rewards Card, Citi HKTVmall Card, Citi Gold Card and Citi Classic Card issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") ("Eligible Cards"). Citi Rewards UnionPay Card is not applicable to Online Platforms (as defined in Clause 2) of Birdie, Buys.hk, Fortress, Genki Sushi, HKTaxi, OpenRice, PNS eShop, Watsons eStore, YOHO and Zurich. Citi HKTVmall Card is not applicable to Online Platforms (as defined in Clause 2) of Buys.hk, Fortress, OpenRice, PNS eShop, Watsons eStore, and Zurich.
  2.   3. A "Single Net Transaction" applies to the final amount of a single transaction after deduction of all applicable discounts, reductions and value of cash vouchers. Unposted/ cancelled/ refunded/ falsified/ unauthorized transactions are excluded.
  4. Unless otherwise specified, to enjoy this Service on Merchants’ Online Platforms, Eligible Cardholders must verify their identity by providing their mobile phone number that has been registered with Citibank, as per Citibank’s last updated record, to receive a One-Time Password, and the identity verification will be confirmed upon the One-Time Password is correctly entered. Eligible Cardholders can select the amount to redeem with Citi Points (“Points”) and complete the redemption under the Service. Unless otherwise specified, identity verification will not be required for subsequent redemptions made by the same Eligible Card under the same Cardholder’s membership account of the individual Merchant. Identity verification is required for every redemption made by the Eligible Cardholder on the Online Platform of Zurich.
  5. Clause 4 does not apply to the Online Platforms of Buys.hk, Broadway Circuit, EGL Tours, ElecBoy, Emperor Cinemas, hutchgo.com and hutchgo mall. To enjoy the Service on the Online Platforms of Buys.hk, Broadway Circuit, EGL Tours, ElecBoy, Emperor Cinemas, hutchgo.com and hutchgo mall, Eligible Cardholders must provide the last 4 digits of Eligible Card and their mobile phone number that has been registered with Citibank, as per Citibank’s last updated record, to receive a One-Time Password, and the identity verification will be confirmed upon the One-Time Password is correctly entered. Eligible Cardholders can select the amount to redeem with Points and complete the redemption under the Service. If the Eligible Card account provided by the Eligible Cardholder is not a credit card account for effecting the Eligible Transaction, the redemption amount will be posted to the Eligible Card account provided by the Cardholder according to Clause 7 as a statement credit, which can be used for offsetting the purchases other than the Eligible Transaction. Identity verification is required for every redemption made by the Eligible Cardholder.
  6. The Service is valid immediately after performing the Eligible Transaction. In any case Eligible Cardholders exit from Merchants’ Online Platforms voluntarily or involuntarily including but not limited to network disconnection, technical device malfunction or unexpected outage on Merchants’ Online Platforms, during any of the steps illustrated under Clause 4 or Clause 5, Cardholders will not be eligible to enjoy the Service and will require to make another Eligible Transaction at Merchants’ Online Platforms to enjoy the Service.
  7. The amount of Points redeemed for statement credits to offset Eligible Transaction will be deducted from Eligible Card account. Cardholders may redeem up to Eligible Transaction amount in full with Points or available Points at Eligible Card account (whichever is lower). Cardholders must redeem a minimum amount, which is subject to the minimum required Points shown in the Citi Pay with Points page under Merchants’ Online Platforms for each redemption. Statement credits will be posted to Eligible Cardholders’ Card Account within 7 calendar days of redemption.
  8. The redemption rate varies by credit card types and may change from time to time. The exact redemption amount and points required are based on the display at the Citi Pay with Points page under Merchants’ Online Platforms at the time of redemption.
  9. Eligible Cardholders must promptly update Citibank of any change to mobile phone number. Citibank shall not be liable to any Cardholders or anyone else for any losses or damages arising from the Service.
  10. The Service cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or traded for cash or other promotion.
  11. If under any circumstances Eligible Cardholders return or cancel the Eligible Transaction, any associated statement credit will remain on Eligible Cardholders’ Card Account and Points will not be returned.

"Pay with Points- Mobile Redemption Service" Terms and Conditions

  1. The "Pay with Points- Mobile Redemption Service" (the "Service") is applicable to the principal cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card, Citi Plus® Credit Card, Citi PremierMiles Card, Citi Rewards Card, Citi HKTVmall Card,Citi Gold Card and Citi Classic Card issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") ("Eligible Card").
  2. To use the Service, Cardholder must be enrolled to Citi Mobile® App.
  3. Cardholder's ThankYouSM Account and Eligible Card Account must be in good standing at the time the Cardholder uses the Service.
  4. Only eligible purchases made with Cardholder's Eligible Card Account in the current billing period and unbilled eligible purchases, up to the last 60 days ("Eligible Purchase"), are eligible for "Pay with Points- Mobile Redemption Service" statement credits ("Statement Credits"). Temporary authorizations are not eligible for the Service.
  5. Eligible Purchases exclude, but are not limited to, cash advances, fees and charges, withdrawal/loan amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program, "FlexiBill" Installment Program, "PayLite" Installment Program, "Quick Cash" Installment Program, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, casino transactions, online bill payment, unposted / cancelled / refunded transactions, Payment made through Citi PayAll, other unauthorized transactions and fraud and abuse transactions, and transfer or top up transaction to designated e-wallet account (includes but not limited to PayMe, Alipay and WeChat Pay). Citibank reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify as Eligible Purchases.
  6. The amount of Citi ThankYouSM Rewards Points ("Points") required for redemption will be deducted from the Eligible Card's available Points balance. Cardholders may redeem up to Selected Transaction amount in full with Points or available Points at Eligible Card account (whichever is lower). Cardholders might choose to make partial redemption of Eligible Purchase. Statement credits will be posted to the Eligible Card Account within 2 business days of redemption. Cardholder can choose to pay more transactions with points and select up to 5 other eligible purchases to redeem with points after completing one Pay with Points Mobile Redemption.
  7. Statement Credits apply towards the Cardholder's next month's Card Account statement balance, but not the current month's minimum or total payment due. The required minimum and total payment reflected on the current Card Account statement must be paid pursuant to the terms of the Card Agreement.
  8. There is no fee to use the Service.
  9. Citibank may set minimum and/or maximum Points redemption requirements for the Service at any time.
  10. Citibank has the right to change the Points to Hong Kong Dollar conversion rate for Statement Credits at any time.
  11. The Statement Credits obtained from "Pay with Points- Mobile Redemption Service" cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or traded for cash or other promotion.
  12. If Cardholder returns or cancels the Eligible Purchase, any associated statement credit will remain on Eligible Cardholder's Card Account and Points will not be returned.
  13. Citibank reserves the right to terminate the Service or amend its terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

“Always Pay with Points” Terms and Conditions

  1. The "Always Pay with Points" ("the Service") is applicable to the principal cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi ULTIMA, Citi Prestige Card, Citi Plus® Credit Card, Citi PremierMiles Card, Citi Rewards Card , Citi Gold Card and Citi Classic Card issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") ("Eligible Card").
  2. Only retail purchases made at Always Pay with Points Participating Merchant as may be designated by Citibank from time to time ("Eligible Merchant") using Cardholder's Eligible Card ("Retail Purchase") are eligible for the "Always Pay with Points" statement credits ("Statement Credits"). To use the Service, Cardholder must be enrolled to Citi Mobile® App and set up for the Service. Cardholder will need to go to card setting and click on Always Pay with Points. During the set up process, Cardholder will be required to input the following details:
    1. Merchant: Cardholder can only select one Eligible Merchant each time for Service enrollment. Cardholder need to set up again in order to enroll the Service for another Eligible Merchant.
    2. Amount Limit: Only Retail Purchases with an amount below the amount limit selected will be automatically redeemed and will only be redeemed at full amount of the Retail Purchases unless otherwise notified. Retail Purchases that are equal to or above the selected amount limit will not be automatically redeemed.
    3. Period: Only transactions that fall within the selected period (“Eligible Period”) will be automatically redeemed. Retail Purchases that are beyond the Eligible Period will not be automatically redeemed. If “No End Date” is selected, such set up will allow the Cardholder to redeem for Retail Purchases as long as the Cardholder Eligible Card Account has sufficient ThankYouSM Rewards Points to redeem unless otherwise notified or the Service is being terminated by Cardholder.
    4. By tapping “Set now”, the Service will be set up for the selected Eligible Merchant with immediate effect. Cardholder’s next or subsequent Retail Purchases that fall into the setup criteria will be automatically redeemed ("Eligible Purchases").
  3. To terminate the Service, Cardholder will need to login to Citi Mobile® App and deselect the button of the selected Eligible Merchant.
  4. Cardholder's ThankYouSM Account and Eligible Card Account must be in good standing at the time the Cardholder sets up and uses the Service.
  5. The amount of Citi ThankYouSM Rewards Points ("Points") required for redemption will be automatically deducted from the Eligible Card Account's available Points balance immediately after successful redemption. Statement Credits will be posted to the Eligible Card Account within 7 business days of successful redemption.
  6. Citibank has the right to change the Conversion Rate at any time and from time to time without any prior notice.
  7. Within the Eligible Period, if Cardholder does not have enough Points to automatically redeem the Eligible Purchases, the Service will be temporarily suspended until Cardholder accumulates enough Points to automatically redeem for the next Eligible Purchases again.
  8. Cardholder will receive email alert for the success or failure of each automatic redemption.
  9. Statement Credits apply towards the Cardholder's next month's Card Account statement balance, but not the current month's minimum or total payment due. The required minimum and total payment reflected on the current Card Account statement must be paid pursuant to the terms of the Card Agreement.
  10. There is no fee to use the Service.
  11. The Statement Credits obtained from the Service cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or traded for cash or other promotion.
  12. If Cardholder returns or cancels the Eligible Purchases, any associated statement credit will remain on Eligible Cardholder's Card Account and Points will not be returned.

"Pay with Points - Push Notification Redemption Service" Terms and Conditions

  1. “The Pay with Points - Push Notification Redemption Service” (the “Service”) is applicable to the principal cardholders (“Cardholders”) of all Citi Credit Cards issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited (“Citibank”) (“Eligible Card”), except Citi Rewards UnionPay Card, Citi The Club Credit Card, Citi Cash Back Card, Citi Octopus Card and Citi Clear Card, and subject to the Terms and Conditions below.
  2. The Service is only applicable and offered to selected local transactions made by Eligible Card of Cardholders at selected local merchants or selected local merchant categories with Eligible Card (“Selected Transactions”) at Citibank’s sole discretion. Local merchant categories are subject to the definition of VISA/MasterCard® International's Merchant Data Standards and the settings of the acquiring bank. Selected Transactions exclude, but not limited to, cash advance, fees and charges, withdrawal amount/loan amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program, “FlexiBill” Installment Program, “PayLite” Installment Program, “Quick Cash” Installment Program, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, casino transactions, payment made through Citi PayAll, unauthorized transactions, fraudulent or abusive transactions, transfer or top-up transaction to certain e-wallet accounts (includes but not limited to PayMe, AliPay and WeChat Pay), and any other payments/transactions that Citibank may at its absolute discretion exclude from time to time. Citibank reserves the right to determine and change which purchases/payments/transfers/transactions qualify as eligible Selected Transactions at its absolute discretion from time to time.
  3. To enjoy the Service, Cardholders must enable push notifications and turn on all types of push notifications on Citi Mobile® App. Citibank reserves the right to determine and change the type of the push notifications relating to the Service at its sole and absolute discretion from time to time.
  4. The Service is only applicable to Cardholders who can successfully receive the push notifications relating to the Service from Citibank after performing the Selected Transactions (“Eligible Cardholders”). Citibank may send the push notifications relating to the Service to a Cardholder whose Eligible Card account is in good standing to participate in the Service, as determined by Citibank at its sole and absolute discretion. Citibank is not obliged to provide the Service to any Cardholder and may not send the push notifications relating to the Service to any Cardholder at Citibank’s sole and absolute discretion.
  5. The Service is valid and available for the Selected Transactions for a limited time period only. Within the validity period as stated in the associated push notification, Eligible Cardholders may tap the push notification and enjoy the Service via a redemption microsite. The redemption microsite will show Eligible Cardholder's available Citi ThankYouSM Rewards Points (“Points”) of the corresponding Eligible Card account. Eligible Cardholders may redeem Points up to a net amount of the Selected Transaction or the available Points of the corresponding Eligible Card account (whichever is lower). Eligible Cardholders who choose to redeem must redeem a minimum redemption amount, which is subject to the minimum Points required shown on the redemption minisite for each redemption.
  6. The exact redemption amount and Points required (“Conversion Rate”) are based on the display at the time of each redemption. The Conversion Rate varies and may be changed by Citibank at its discretion from time to time.
  7. Once the redemption is confirmed by the Eligible Cardholder, the Eligible Cardholder agrees, accepts and consents that the amount of Points redeemed for statement credits (“Statement Credits”) to offset Selected Transaction will be deducted from the Eligible Card account (“Redemption”).
  8. Eligible Cardholder's Points account and Eligible Card account must be in good standing at the time the Eligible Cardholder uses the Service and at the time when the Statement Credit is posted. The Statement Credits redeemed from the Points will be posted by Citibank to Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card account within 7 calendar days of the Redemption.
  9. Statement Credit will apply towards the Eligible Cardholder’s next month’s Eligible Card statement balance, but not the current month’s minimum or total payment due. The required minimum and total payment due reflected on the current Eligible Card account statement must be paid pursuant to the terms of the Cardholder Agreement of the Eligible Card.
  10. Statement Credit cannot be used for the following, including but not limited to:
    1. To offset interest, fees and charges, minimum payment on Eligible Card account statement; or
    2. To be withdrawn as cash advance; or
    3. To be transferred or exchanged for cash or cheque or other offers.
  11. If Eligible Cardholder returns or cancels the Selected Transaction, any associated Statement Credit will remain on Eligible Cardholder’s Eligible Card account and the redeemed Points will not be returned.
  12. The Service is subject to the Cardholder’s mobile device ability to support the Service for which Citibank is not responsible.
  13. Citibank does not guarantee the delivery, accuracy, or security of the contents of any push notifications sent by Citibank to any Eligible Cardholders. Citibank shall not be liable to any Cardholder or anyone else for any losses or damages arising from the Service, including but not limited to, (a) non-delivery, delayed delivery, wrong delivery or partial delivery of any push notifications for any reason; or (b) inaccurate contents of any push notifications; or (c) any unauthorized redemptions or fraudulent or abusive redemptions.
  14. All Redemptions cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or traded for cash nor eligible for other promotion.
  15. Citibank is not responsible for Cardholders’ failure to initiate, submit and/or process any Redemption, voluntarily or involuntarily, arising from (but not limited to) network disconnection, technical device malfunction or any delay, interruption or disruption of the system.
  16. Citibank reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
  17. Citibank shall not be responsible for any matters in relation to the related products or services of the Selected Transactions. The respective merchants are solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities relating to such products or services and all auxiliary services.

  1. The "Pay with Points- Online Redemption Service" (the "Service") is applicable to the principal cardholders ("Cardholders") of Citi Ultima Card, Citi Prestige Card, Citi Plus® Credit Card, Citi PremierMiles Card, Citi Rewards Card, Citi HKTVmall Card,Citi Gold Card and Citi Classic Card issued by Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited ("Citibank") ("Eligible Card").
  2. To use the Service, Cardholder must be enrolled to Citibank Online.
  3. Cardholder's ThankYouSM Account and Eligible Card Account must be in good standing at the time the Cardholder uses the Service.
  4. Only eligible purchases made with Cardholder's Eligible Card Account in the current billing period and unbilled eligible purchases, up to the last 60 days ("Eligible Purchase"), are eligible for "Pay with Points- Online Redemption Service" statement credits ("Statement Credits"). Temporary authorizations are not eligible for the Service.
  5. Eligible Purchases exclude, but are not limited to, cash advances, fees and charges, withdrawal/loan amount under the Balance Transfer Program, Cash Conversion Program, "FlexiBill" Installment Program, "PayLite" Installment Program, "Quick Cash" Installment Program, payment to the Inland Revenue Department, casino transactions, online bill payment, unposted / cancelled / refunded transactions, Payment made through Citi PayAll, other unauthorized transactions and fraud and abuse transactions, and transfer or top up transaction to designated e-wallet account (includes but not limited to PayMe, Alipay and WeChat Pay). Citibank reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify as Eligible Purchases.
  6. The amount of Citi ThankYouSM Rewards Points ("Points") required for redemption will be deducted from the Eligible Card's available Points balance. Cardholders may redeem Eligible Purchases up to the available Point balance. Statement credits will be posted to the Eligible Card Account within 2 business days of redemption.
  7. Statement Credits apply towards the Cardholder's next month's Card Account statement balance, but not the current month's minimum or total payment due. The required minimum and total payment reflected on the current Card Account statement must be paid pursuant to the terms of the Card Agreement.
  8. Cardholders are required to use the available Points to redeem the value of an Eligible Purchase in full. Partial redemptions of Eligible Purchase are not allowed.
  9. There is no fee to use the Service.
  10. Citibank may set minimum and/or maximum Points redemption requirements for the Service at any time.
  11. Citibank has the right to change the Points to Hong Kong Dollar conversion rate for Statement Credits at any time.
  12. The Statement Credits obtained from "Pay with Points- Online Redemption Service" cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or traded for cash or other promotion.
  13. If Cardholder returns or cancels the Eligible Purchase, any associated statement credit will remain on Eligible Cardholder's Card Account and Points will not be returned.
  14. Citibank reserves the right to terminate the Service or amend its terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

  16. In the event of any dispute, Citibank's decision shall be final and conclusive.
  17. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
